Overview

San Antonio Zoning Intelligence (satxzoning.com) publishes public Planning Commission case data and offers optional paid email alerts. This policy describes what we collect when you browse the site or subscribe, and how we use it.

Information we collect

Public catalog. Case pages are built from City of San Antonio public records. You can browse them without creating an account.

Account and alerts. If you subscribe or sign in, we store your email address, alert filter settings (council district, case type, and keyword), and subscription status. Checkout is handled by Stripe; we receive a Stripe customer identifier and billing status, not your full card number.

Sign-in links. We send one-time magic links to the email you provide. Those tokens are short-lived and are not stored after use.

Technical data. Our host (Vercel) and analytics may record standard request metadata such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Email delivery is processed by Resend.

How we use information

• Operate the public case catalog and your account
• Send filtered alert digests you have configured
• Process subscription payments and cancellations through Stripe
• Send transactional email (sign-in links, alert digests)
• Protect the service from abuse and measure basic site usage

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We rely on service providers that process data on our behalf:

• Stripe — subscription billing and the customer portal
• Resend — transactional and alert email
• Vercel — hosting and analytics
• Neon — database storage for subscribers and case data

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

Retention

We keep account and filter data while your subscription is active or until you ask us to delete it. Alert delivery logs may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting. Public case data remains available on the site according to our ingest schedule.

Your choices

You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal linked from your account. Clearing all filters pauses alert email. To request access, correction, or deletion of account data, email alerts@satxzoning.com.

Security

We use HTTPS, signed session cookies, and industry-standard providers for payments and email. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; use the service at your own risk for sensitive decisions.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
